Dr. Shoel Kerzner was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and his D.D.S. degree from Case Western Reserve School of Dentistry. He subsequently completed his residency in orthodontics at Loyola University School of Dentistry.
While in dental school at Case Western Reserve, he received the American Association of Orthodontists Award for Exceptional Interest in the Development of the Oral-Facial Complex.
Dr. Kerzner's professional affiliations include: American Association of Orthodontists, Midwestern Society of Orthodontists, Illinois Society of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Chicago Dental Society. Dr. Kerzner believes in staying in the forefront of clinical and technological advancements in orthodontics by attending numerous educational courses during the year.
Dr. Kerzner has been in private practice since 1991, taking over the tradition of excellence in orthodontics from Dr. Richard Swoiskin and Dr. Howard Aduss. Dr. Kerzner enjoys treating children and adults and seeing the beautiful smiles that are created at the completion of treatment. His philosophy is to treat patients in a warm, fun, and caring environment.
Dr. Kerzner resides in Wilmette, Illinois with his wife and their two children, who keep them busy with soccer, soccer, and more soccer! In his spare time, he enjoys being with his family, going to sports events, and playing with their Shetland Sheep dog.
